Our work started with a map scribbled on a piece of paper about how we develop new teachers. This “blizzard of guidance” reinforced the idea that we must do better.

In 2015, we began Improving Education as a non-profit organization focused on using Improvement Science to accelerate improvements within the education system. This work was new to education and our goal was to refine methods of improvement and create examples of meaningful change.

We have continued to lead change by partnering with other organizations and school districts. We developed programs and led by example. We have now set our sites on collectively working on problems with others while being a leader in measurement, design and scale.
